Clean Eating…The basics

Clean Eating = eating every 3 hours = 3 meals + 2 snacks
each day

Remember, if you go more than 3 hours without eating, your metabolism shuts down
and you store fat!

Be sure to eat a little something shortly after you wake up. If you rise at 6 but don’t eat
until 8 or 9, you just wasted 2-3 hours of fat burning!!

Protein is the most important choice to make. You must eat protein at all 5 meals. An
active lifestyle requires 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight each day to avoid
cannibalizing your own muscles! Pick the protein first and then pick the carbohydrate.
Remember, fruit and vegetables ARE CARBS! Limit your consumption of grains and do
not eat any “white” grains.
