Improving overall strength and muscle tone will be the main focus of our work together in the studio. Losing lean muscle mass is a natural aging process UNLESS you do something to prevent it. For those of us who do not do manual labor every day of our lives, that means lifting weights.
Every decade after the age of 30, we lose 10% of our lean muscle mass. The average 60 year old has already lost 30% of their lean tissue and become “flabby”. The good news is that this process can be halted and even reversed. I will teach you to lift weights in a safe, controlled and private atmosphere. Even if you have never lifted weights before, I can teach you to do this. I am relentless in my commitment to your fitness, but very loving in my delivery!! There is nothing to be afraid of here.
Remember, building strong muscles helps build strong bones AND lends support to your joints. Lifting weights helps with everything from diabetes to heart disease and osteoporosis to arthritis. It makes you look great, too!
Body Sculpting is something we can also incorporate into your workout regime. If you have a pear shape, we can work on your shoulders to balance out your physique. Squats and lunges thin and sculpt thighs. Core work from all 4 sides stabilizes your body as well as trimming down your waist.
Committing to a demanding fitness regimen, and becoming physically strong & stable again, gives you a sense of pride and an intrinsic confidence that helps you to keep taking chances and to live your life out loud.
